I'm finally back , and this week is going to all about Makeup, we are going to begin with what a think sould be a basic kit for every women and specially for those who do not ware a lot of it or only ware it on special occasions and really dont know how to apply it.
I what to make it clear that am not a profecional make up artist, i am girl who just loves makeup its my passion, i just do it for fun and everything i say here is based on my on experience, some of my friends and family experience, its the way a do it and some tricks and tips that i've learn over the years. So lets get to it!
My 101 makeup starter kit
These are the basic points that I think you should cover in makeup, what every woman should have in there makeup kit or if you are starting to wear makeup or do not know how to use it, this should be your starter kit.
- Powder: Powder tones the face and gives it an even appearence, for this you need to know what type of skin you have (normal,oily, dry, combination) so you can know what type of powder works for you. Example if you have oily skin you buy a powder that's for oil control a matte powder.
- Blush: For blush a recommend a Pink tone, its pretty, goes with every type of skin color, easy to work with, its subtle and it makes you look natural.
- Concealer: Its used to cover up dark circles, redness, pimples, age spots, large pores and other small blemishes visible on the skin,its like foundation but thicker, for me this a very important step that you should never skip. but everything depends on what you want to conceal and on the color of your skin. Example if your going to cover up redness you have to apply one with a tinted green this will counteract the red areas and for under eyes circles just use a concealer thats 2 shades lighter than your skin tone.
- Eyebrows: I recommend brow powder over pencil becuse its easier to use, its less harsh and easier to brush them out, for me it makes it look more subtle. If you have blonde hair go with a light brown and for brunettes a normal brown, the point is to never have them darker the your hair color.
Eyeshawdos: For eyeshadow I recommend a neutral color duo palette, it's easy all you need is a color in your eyelid and a highlighter on your brow bone.
- Eyeliner: Use a pencil liner because its easy to work with specially sense you don't have the experience or the precision to use a liquid liner, just follow the natural line of your eyes has close to the lashes has you can. Have fun using any type of color that you want it doesn't necessarily have to be black.
- Mascara: It all depends on what type of lashes you have if there long, full or just stand straight, after you have this down then you pick the one that is best for you. Everything depends on the wand, example The thick and hard brush thickens the lashes by covering each hair individually.The spiral is the most common kind of brush. It has short fibers which are great for a thorough coverage.The double effect brush has short fibers and is thicker, even bulging in the middle. It is most suitable for covering thin lashes.
- Lips: Go can go with what ever you want it could be a lipstick, lip stain, lipgloos or a balm stain, you can use the one you want according to your makeup.
So thats it! Thoose or the points that you need to cover and what every women should have in there make up kit.
I know that for thoose who know about make up think that there are somethings missing like liquid foundation, bronzer, highlither, lip liner, etc. But this step just complicate things for thoose who don't have experience working with them or make up tools.
