Makeup Brushes 101: Part 2

Continuing with yesterdays post, we will finish today detailing the different functions of your makeup brushes.



Face Brushes:  For the face I personally recommend you only  6, this:

• Foundation Brush: You can choose from 2 types The Standard Brush and The Stippling Brush, make sure that they are sure to use Synthetic Fibers because the brush follicles on that type of brush is not going to absorb the product, they both do the job put in my opinion use the standard because its easyer to work with and you have more control. The Stippling Brush

• Concealer Brush: This is a slightly tapered flat brush that, is use to conceal small areas like the nose and the eyes.

• Powder Brush: This of course is used to distribute the face powder and the bigger the better.

 

• Blush Brush: This is used to apply blush to your cheeks, and make sure that it is soft so it doesn't pick up to much product.

 

 

 

• Contour Brush: This brush is used to contour your the hollows of your cheek, your jawline, nose, under your chin and around your hair line; it makes your face have appearance of a slimmer face.

 

 

 

• The Highlighter: Is for highlighting the top of the cheekbones, now there are 2 highlighter brushes that are different form but do the same job, one is The Fan Brush and and The Standard (its great for powder and cream products), to be honest i like the Fan brush because it gives me more control and its more precise.

•  Lip Brush: You use this to get more control, presicion and a even strokes of color on your lips. Actually this is used more by makeup artist then regular people, its to control germs and not have to use the same lipstick on all clients.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And that's it!, this are the brushes that you most have in your makeup kit, remember that practice makes perfect.. play with your brushes and learn to use and control them so you can achieve the perfect makeup.
