Danger of using expired makeup.

 Hello My Lovey Doveys!!

So today's post is going to be about the Danger of using expired makeup, and i'm so guilty of this because i have used makeup that's expired and it's not because i do it on purpose its just happens. Like, how many of us buy a product use it a couple of time the first week and then store it  or buy a product and keep using it until is done or just keep using the product even tho we know it's expired??almost all of us are guilty of at least one of this.
Using expired products is so dangerous because you're putting this on your face or body and we dont know who bad is it until we have a reaction to it, like if we get a allergic reaction, puffiness, red eyes, acne, skin irritation, rashes anything that is not normal its most likely a product that your using that its not good.
When you buy a product always check the expiration date, almost every time when you see that  stores has a special offer or discounts and are super cheap even tho you know whats the actual price, it's very possible that those products are about to expire like in the next 4 to 6 months, don't get me wrong you can still buy the product but make sure to use it a lot before its about to go bad.

Theres a time shelf life for makeup, like for foundations and powder creams can last from 1 to 3 years.

  • Powders can last up 1 to 3 years.

  • Lipsticks and Lip Gloss can last up to 1 year.

All of the above are the ones as you can see, can be used 1 up to 3 years, but almost all of the allergic reactions come from pencils, mascara, liquid eyeliners that are no longer good or have some sort of chemical that is not good for you and this are the most dangerous ones because its in your eye area and to get a eye infection is extremely dangerous because depending on how severe it is, it can cause  blur vision, conjunctivitis or i dont know maybe it can cause you even to go blind. who knows!!

  • The time shelf life for Pencils (eye, lips, brow) is about 1 year.

  • For Mascara its 3 to 6 months.

  • Liquid Eyeliner is good 3 to 4 months

When to know if your makeup is expired.
  1. Obviously when the expiration date has come to a point.
  2. When it begins to smell funny.
  3. When it begins to lose its texture or become sticky.

So have all of this in mind the next time you clean your makeup drawer and when you buy new products. Hope this helps, let me know what you think and remember.......
