How to DIY a regular polish to a matte finish using steam.

On my last post we talked about the new nail trends for fall fashion 2013, and how Matte color  is one of the it colors, its just a simple nail polish whit no shimmer,gloss or glare. There is a lot of  brands that have it, and if they don't they have a  clear Matte that you can use over your regular nail polish and it will give you the same effect, Buuuuutttttt......... you know me i always try to find a DIY for you guys, so if you don't have a Matte nail poilish im going to show you a trick to do this at home, and its so easy to do!. 

 

 

How to DIY a regular polish to a matte finish using steam.

 

 

 

 

 

 

What you need:

 

 

- 1 cup of water

- Pot with lid

- Regular  color nail polish

 

 

How to:

 

- First to the 1 cup of water in the pot, put on the lid and let it boil.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  

 

-Then as the water boils paint you nails with to 2 coats of your color nail polish.

 

 

 

 

 

-When you done painting you nails, take the lid of the pot and let that first steam come out (to hot you dont what to burn your fingers!) and then very carefully hold your nails over the pot to catch to steam, for about 30 seconds.

 

 

 

 

 

 

- Let them dry and your done!

 

 

 

 

 

 

Remember we what a matte finish so don't put a dryer on it beacuse its going to give it a shimmer finish, on less its a matte dryer. So give it a try, let me know what you think, have fun and remmember......
