Today we are going to talk about Primers, it's a cream or lotion applied before another cosmetic to improve coverege and lengthen the amount of time it will last on your face.
There are 4 types of Makeup Primers, theres Foundation Primer, Eye Primer, Mascara Primer and Lip Primer.
- Foundation Primer: Like a said earlier cream or lotion that you put before your foundation, that helps to even skin tone, example if you suffer from redness you apply a Green tainted to help balance your tone, primers helps to minimize the appaearance of blemishes. Its important that before you pick your primer you know exactly what type of skin you have (normal, oily, dry, combination) before you buy it, make sure to verify if it's for your type of skin.
How to apply it:
Just put a couple of dots on your face and blend it all over before you apply your foundation.
- Eye Primer: This primer it's specifically for your eyelids, is to prevent shadows from creasing, this is specially good for thoose that have oily eyelids also you can apply it in the lower lid if your if using shadows or eye liner, this helps you have a smooth aplication.
How to apply it:
Apply a couple of dots on your eye lid and on your lower lid and blend with your ring finger.
- Mascara Primer: This primer makes lashes look thicker and longer and also helps the mascara from smudging. Most of them or colorless and in a form of a white gel.
How to apply it:
Just apply 1 layer or 2 of the primer before the mascara, let it dry and then apply mascara.
- Lip Primer: This is to smooth the lips and help improve the application of lipstick and also it helps the longevity of the lip color.
How to apply:
Just apply with your fingers or do it like you regularly apply lipstick.
